Job Summary
This role seeks a specialized Planning Engineer to drive the implementation and application of Digital Twins within power grids, primarily utilizing the retoflow software platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting grid studies, developing grid expansion plans (low and medium voltage), and independently managing customer projects. The engineer will be crucial in onboarding new clients to the Digital Twin concept and providing expert consultation to existing customers on the retoflow software. A key aspect is analyzing customer needs and communicating necessary platform enhancements to the software development team. The ideal candidate possesses a background in electrical or energy engineering, strong experience in electrical grid calculation, and excellent customer-facing skills, combining technical expertise with effective communication to shape the future of energy infrastructure planning.
Required Skills
Education
University or University of Applied Sciences degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or Industrial Engineering, or qualification as a Master Craftsman or Technician in Electrical Engineering
Experience
- Fundamental experience in electrical grid calculation
- Experience in electrical network calculation using retoflow, pandapower, PowerFactory, SINCAL, NEPLAN, or similar tools
- Experience in programming with Python is advantageous
- Professional experience working with software and people
