Job Summary
This role is for a detail-oriented Test Automation Engineer eager to shape and advance test automation within agile projects focused on creating socially relevant digital solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting the specification, planning, implementation, and execution of automated tests, documenting results, creating test environment concepts, and actively contributing to team knowledge management. The ideal candidate brings over three years of experience in automating tests for complex websites or specialized applications, coupled with expertise in modern testing methods, quality assurance, and familiarity with frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium. This position offers the chance to work flexibly across Germany, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams through practices like pair programming and code reviews, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals passionate about quality and digital transformation.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or comparable qualification. ISTQB Certification (desirable).
Experience
- 3+ years experience in test automation of complex website projects or specialized applications
- Professional experience with current testing methods and software quality assurance
- Practical experience in object-oriented programming languages (Java or JavaScript)
- Experience with testing microservice architectures (desirable)
- Experience with load and performance testing (desirable)
