Job Summary
The Test Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role in agile projects, actively shaping and driving test automation initiatives for complex website projects and specialized applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting the specification, planning, implementation, and execution of automated tests, as well as evaluating and documenting test results and creating detailed reports. The role requires close collaboration with colleagues, including participation in pair programming and code reviews, and contributing to the integration of testing processes into CI/CD pipelines. Key qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or a related field, 3+ years of experience in test automation, and knowledge of current testing methods, ideally with ISTQB certification. This position offers the opportunity to work flexibly across Germany, contributing to socially relevant digital solutions within an interdisciplinary team.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or comparable qualification; ISTQB certification (ideal)
Experience
- 3+ years experience in test automation of complex website projects or specialized applications
- Professional experience with current test methods and software quality assurance
- Experience with common test automation frameworks
- Practical experience in object-oriented programming languages
- Desirable experience with testing microservice architectures
- Desirable experience with load and performance testing
