Job Summary

TÜV SÜD is seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to ensure the safety and sustainability of electrical systems by conducting independent inspections and tests on safety-related installations. This role involves performing initial and recurring inspections on electrical systems, emergency power supply, emergency lighting, fire alarm, and alerting systems in compliance with building codes. The engineer will play a crucial part in improving electrical safety and preventing fire hazards within electrical installations. Key qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field, professional experience in the planning, construction, maintenance, or operation of electrical systems, and ideally, recognition as a certified expert for safety-related installations. The position requires a willingness to travel for fieldwork, primarily within the Berlin/Brandenburg region, and offers the opportunity to contribute to a secure future by building trust in new technologies within a global service corporation.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable field; Technical training is advantageous; Certification as an expert (Prüfsachverständiger) for safety-related installations or VdS expert is ideal, or willingness to obtain it.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the planning, construction, maintenance, or operation of electrical systems (desirable)
  • Readiness for timely training to become a certified expert for safety-related installations (if not already certified)
