Job Summary

This role involves contributing to the critical "Long-term Safeguarding of Sediment Addition Iffezheim (LSG)" project, a unique national initiative within the federal waterways and shipping administration in Germany. The successful candidate will join a team of engineers, focusing on planning and implementing cross-border transshipment facilities for gravel material, including obtaining necessary permits in Germany and France. Key responsibilities include assisting with the procurement and execution of construction and service contracts for material handling facilities, developing transport and operational concepts, and participating in contract negotiations with private companies and government bodies. This position offers an opportunity to work on a vital infrastructure project aimed at counteracting riverbed erosion in the Rhine, ensuring the long-term stability of the waterway. It requires strong technical understanding, organizational skills, and a solution-oriented approach.

Required Skills

Education

University of Applied Sciences Diploma (FH-Diplom) or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Management, Construction Operations, Structural Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in civil engineering, specifically in water management, construction operations, or structural engineering
  • Experience in planning and realizing construction measures
  • Experience in procurement law and contract law related to construction measures and their planning (VOB, VgV, UvgO, HOAI)
