Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Senior RF IC Design Engineer to join a semiconductor startup in Dresden, focusing on developing next-generation NR+ microchips for non-cellular 5G massive IoT applications. The engineer will be responsible for designing high-frequency integrated circuits for wireless communication systems using deep-submicron CMOS technology, ideally 22FDX FD-SOI. Day-to-day tasks include performing top-level simulations, collaborating closely with the layout team, defining block-level specifications for analog/digital components, and executing pre-tapeout verifications (power, reliability, timing). A key part of the job involves defining production and lab test plans, supporting silicon characterization, analyzing test results to resolve yield issues, and ensuring compliance with specifications through design reviews. This position offers the chance to work on technologically leading circuits and contribute directly to a new class of wireless communication, leveraging expertise across the entire RFIC product development lifecycle from concept to mass production.
