Job Summary
Join a dynamic team in the Stendal district, a region connecting Magdeburg, Berlin, and Hanover, as a Digitalization Officer. This role is pivotal in shaping and implementing the digitalization strategy for the public administration. You will be instrumental in developing and refining digitalization measures, providing crucial feedback for strategic adjustments, and contributing to the establishment of a robust Document Management System (DMS) and e-file implementation. The position involves acting as an impulse generator for new digital initiatives, motivating staff, and organizing training events on digital tools. You will also ensure compliance with legal, information security, and data protection requirements, manage procurement and funding, and conduct IT workplace analyses. This is a full-time, permanent position offering flexible working hours and mobile work options within a family-friendly environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Diploma/Bachelor) in Public Administration (ideally with specialization in Digitalization/Information/Communication Technology, Informatics/eGovernment, e.g., Administrative Informatics, Digital Administration and Cyber Security, Digital Administrative Management, Digital Administration, Administrative Digitalization and Informatics) OR Completed IT university degree in (Business) Informatics OR Successful completion of the Civil Servant Training Course II (Beschäftigtenlehrgang II) ideally with digitalization knowledge OR Completed vocational training with IT or administrative law focus (e.g., IT Specialist for Application Development, IT Management Assistant, Digitalization Management Assistant, Administrative Assistant) with certifications/qualifications in "Digital Transformation in Administration" (e.g., ZERTIFIKATSLEHRGANG Digitale Transformation in der Verwaltung - Sikosa or comparable) and a commitment to further qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in public administration (if IT-focused degree)
- Several years of professional experience in public administration or digitalization (if vocational training background)
