Job Summary

This role involves joining the Technical Services team in Bochum, Germany, focusing on the maintenance, repair, and configuration of IT systems for both internal use and external clients. Day-to-day tasks include the repair and servicing of hardware components, ensuring systems are up-to-date, and executing hardware modifications and expansions to optimize workstations. The technician will be responsible for installing and configuring hardware in client and server environments, independently managing software installations, updates, and carrying out customized configuration changes. A key function is troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues promptly, adhering to specified service levels. The ideal candidate must have a completed IT apprenticeship (such as IT Systems Electronics Technician or Mechatronics Technician) or equivalent qualification, coupled with initial experience in IT maintenance and hardware repair, particularly with notebooks and PCs. Certifications from vendors like Lenovo, Dell, or HP are beneficial but not mandatory. This position requires a structured, team-oriented approach and a willingness to take on responsibility within a supportive team environment.
