Job Summary

This challenging role requires a skilled Wiring Harness Designer to manage the full lifecycle of on-board network systems, focusing on development, design, and continuous optimization using advanced CAD tools. Day-to-day tasks involve conceptualizing new wiring harness layouts, implementing technical changes to improve existing architectures, and strategically reducing costs within the system design. A crucial part of the job is serving as the key technical contact for both clients and internal production facilities, ensuring seamless communication and execution. Furthermore, the role demands rigorous documentation management, including the creation and maintenance of requirement specifications (Lasten-/Pflichtenhefte), presentations, and detailed production documents. Candidates must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Vehicle Technology, or an equivalent technical qualification (Master Craftsman/Technician), coupled with demonstrable professional experience in the field. Fluency in both German and English is a mandatory prerequisite for effective negotiation and collaboration.
