Job Summary
This role involves the comprehensive planning, organization, and execution of diverse events for a prominent law firm, Oppenhoff & Partner, based in Cologne. The Event Manager will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including internal and external client events, collaborations, and trade show appearances. Key daily tasks include managing all administrative and organizational aspects, such as invitation and guest management, on-site support, budget planning, and post-event follow-up. The successful candidate will coordinate internal stakeholders and external service providers, manage event communication across digital channels (website, newsletter), and research suitable venues and vendors. This position requires at least two years of professional experience in the event sector, ideally within a law firm or consulting environment, coupled with strong organizational skills, creativity, and excellent communication abilities in both German and English.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Event or Venue Management, or completed training as an Event Management Specialist (Veranstaltungskaufmann/-frau), or comparable qualification
Experience
- At least two years of professional experience in the event sector
- Experience ideally gained in a commercial law firm, consulting company, or comparable organization
