Job Summary

Highly motivated PhD candidates are sought to join the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) for Genome Science and the GönomiX Research Training Group in Göttingen, Germany. This interdisciplinary program, a collaboration between the University of Göttingen and the Max Planck Institute, offers cutting-edge research opportunities focusing on experimental and theoretical genome science. Projects cover diverse areas, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, and computational biology. Specifically, the GönomiX group focuses on the evolution of gene regulatory networks in emerging model organisms, requiring students to pioneer novel bioinformatics tools or develop new methods to study gene function. Candidates must hold an outstanding Master's degree in relevant life sciences or computational fields, possess strong academic excellence, creativity, and teamwork skills, and be proficient in English.
