Job Summary

This remote Database Engineer role involves ensuring data integrity and optimal placement across complex database architectures and storage systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include the administration and development of Db2 database structures, proactive performance analysis, and implementing targeted tuning measures to enhance efficiency. You will also act as a database consultant, advising workstreams on various database technologies, and developing automated solutions for managing database structures for internal clients. The ideal candidate possesses an IT education or equivalent qualifications, extensive professional experience as a Database Administrator, and expertise in both relational (Db2 for z/OS, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases. This position offers the flexibility of 100% remote work and the opportunity to support the IT transformation of medium and large enterprises, initially via temporary employment with an option for permanent takeover.
