Job Summary

This is a strategic leadership role focused on expanding and guiding the Controls & Automation Engineering division for a leading, system-critical industrial automation company based in the Heilbronn region or elsewhere in Europe. The Head of Controls Engineering will be responsible for building and leading five teams, totaling approximately 40 employees, with a strong focus on growth and strategic development. Day-to-day duties involve disciplinary and technical leadership, expanding the product portfolio to include Robotics, IoT, and advanced control technologies, ensuring high quality and functional safety standards, and managing resources and budgets. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering, possesses multi-year experience leading controls engineering teams, and has knowledge of emulation, virtual commissioning, IoT connectivity, and cybersecurity requirements.
