Job Summary

This role involves driving digital transformation projects within a leading European super-premium pet food manufacturer. The Automation Engineer will conduct process and gap analyses with stakeholders across Production, Quality, and IT, steering digitalization projects from inception to go-live. A core responsibility is programming process logic using Python to develop stable automation workflows for production-critical processes. The engineer will create technical specifications (Lastenhefte) for machine builders and act as the technical liaison for system integrators, particularly concerning sterilization systems. Success requires proficiency in Python for SCADA development and automation workflows, alongside experience with modern SCADA systems, IoT, and Edge technologies to capture, integrate, and utilize shop floor process data for reporting and optimization.
