Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Electronics Technician specializing in Control and Protection Technology within the high-voltage transmission grid. The professional will be responsible for ensuring the seamless function of protection and control systems, including interfaces to communication technology and network control systems, through rigorous on-site testing, maintenance, and commissioning at substations across the 50Hertz network area. A key component of the job involves weekly, multi-day business trips with overnight stays. The ideal candidate holds a qualification in Electrical Engineering or related fields, possesses experience with high-voltage protection/control technology, and is proficient in test software, documentation (MS Office, SAP PM), and IT security concepts. This position offers the chance to work directly with innovative energy systems like High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) and grid control systems, with flexible preparation/follow-up work possible from home or office.
