Job Summary

This Senior IT System Engineer role focuses on the technical implementation and automation of IT service installations and configurations for one of Germany's largest and most complex IT infrastructures, serving the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). The successful candidate will be a key digitalization partner, ensuring stable, secure, and efficient IT services, often involving high-security military IT contracts (above VS-NfD classification). Day-to-day tasks include translating Service Designs (LOM) into automated routines, aligning technically with Service Architects on design and product knowledge, and collaborating with architecture modelers using Sparx EA. This role requires deep expertise in automation scripting, particularly with PowerShell and DSC, and solid experience with Microsoft Server environments. You will be responsible for defining best practices and standards for automation within the GMN 1.0 environment, contributing directly to Germany's national security through advanced IT modernization efforts.
