Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Engineer to join a 10-person team within the Rhineland Regional Council (LVR), focusing on the technical facility management of diverse public properties, including cultural, health, and educational facilities. The core responsibilities involve ensuring operational readiness and safety of real estate assets by developing, implementing, and monitoring inspection, maintenance, and repair plans across all trades. Key tasks include managing cross-trade conversion projects, evaluating plans and construction invoices from third parties, and advising users on feasibility and economic efficiency of proposed measures. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, or Facility Management) and brings at least three years of professional experience in construction maintenance or technical facility management. This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to socially relevant infrastructure while participating in the development of a modern, CAFM-supported facility management system.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or FH Diploma in Architecture, Mechanical/Process Engineering, Building Services, Electrical and Information Technology, Energy Technology, Environmental Protection Technology, Waste Management Technology, Industrial Engineering (with an engineering focus), or Facility Management; Alternatively: State-certified Technician, Master Craftsman, or Bachelor Professional in a trade with further qualification as a Specialist Facility Management

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years in construction maintenance or technical facility management
  • Professional experience in project work involving various stakeholders
  • Experience in handling CAFM systems (e.g., Waveware) is desirable

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Familiarity with current specialist standards and regulations (HOAI, BauO NRW, SBauVO, GEG, PrüfVO NRW) is required.
