Job Summary

This critical role involves leading and coordinating all administrative affairs for the Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change (LIB) at its Hamburg site, which is currently planning the construction of a new Natural History Museum. The Administrative Manager will be responsible for ensuring adherence to institutional guidelines, developing and implementing new administrative procedures, and optimizing workflows, particularly in preparation for the new museum. Day-to-day tasks include managing occupational safety and health protection measures in collaboration with Facility Management, coordinating logistics for workspace planning, and overseeing procurement processes for central site needs like furniture and office supplies. The successful candidate must possess a relevant university degree in Business, Administration, or Law, coupled with proven leadership skills, strong knowledge of public administration law, and excellent organizational and communication abilities to navigate a dynamic scientific and societal environment.
