Job Summary

The University of Potsdam is seeking a dedicated Technical Control Center Specialist to join the Building and Facility Management department. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the university's properties and technical systems. Day-to-day responsibilities involve monitoring and controlling operational technical systems, including elevator systems, using Building Management System (BMS) technology. The specialist will execute switching operations during malfunctions, initiate necessary measures to prevent damage, and restore systems to their required state. Key tasks also include prioritizing incoming reports, documenting fault messages, creating work orders, and serving as a central point of contact for external companies and university staff (e.g., key issuance). The ideal candidate must have a professional qualification in a relevant technical field (e.g., electrical or HVAC) and be willing to participate in a shift system. Experience with BMS software and technical facility management is highly desirable.
