Job Summary

This part-time position at the University of Potsdam's Center for Information Technology and Media Management (ZIM) involves providing essential IT support and services to students and faculty. As an IT Service Assistant, you will manage IT pool rooms, oversee the rental of technical equipment, and provide hands-on technical support for platforms like Moodle, WLAN, and software installations. A unique aspect of this role is the opportunity to conduct specialized tutorials in areas such as LaTeX, Git, and C++, as well as supporting digital examinations and university events. The role is ideally suited for students looking for professional experience within a university environment. It offers flexible working hours (10 or 15 hours per week) and the stability of a permanent public service contract. You will be part of the Support and Service Design team, acting as a first point of contact for technical inquiries and contributing to the digital infrastructure of the campus.

Required Skills

Education

University entrance qualification (Abitur or equivalent); current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program is preferred.

Experience
