Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Principal Scientist to lead the future of drug research within Boehringer Ingelheim's Cardiovascular Research team in Biberach an der Riss, Germany. This role involves leading an in vitro pharmacology laboratory and managing a team of Research Assistants, focusing on converting innovative ideas into potent drugs for cardiovascular diseases. The Principal Scientist will be responsible for the scientific identification and validation of novel therapeutic approaches, overseeing late-stage project phases, and continuously advancing drug discovery by developing and implementing cutting-edge methods. Key requirements include a Doctorate degree in biology or related fields, expert knowledge in cardiovascular biology, and professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry or long-term postdoctoral research, including leadership experience.
