Job Summary
This role involves establishing and optimizing a centralized system for managing IT licenses and contracts within a major university hospital environment in Düsseldorf. The License and Contract Manager will be responsible for consolidating license information, selecting and implementing a dedicated license management tool, and continuously monitoring license usage. Key tasks include analyzing and optimizing licensing models for critical systems like SAP, Microsoft, and Medico, generating management reports for cost optimization, and preparing for license and contract audits. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in IT or Business Administration, extensive experience in IT license management (preferably in a healthcare setting), and expertise in major vendor licensing models, coupled with strong negotiation and communication skills in German.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or comparable qualification; Ideally, certification in license or contract management (e.g., Microsoft Certified Licensing Specialist, ITIL)
Experience
- Several years of experience in IT license management
- Professional experience, ideally in a hospital environment or comparable organization
- Expertise in contract drafting and license optimization
- Knowledge of relevant legal frameworks and best practices in license management
