This crucial role involves managing the full lifecycle of road maintenance projects for the City of Witten's Civil Engineering Department. The Construction Manager is responsible for handling all project steps, from initial damage assessment and prioritization to database entry, ensuring the city's infrastructure remains functional and safe. Key daily tasks include preparing tenders, managing billing and invoicing processes, and overseeing site supervision (Bauleitung). Furthermore, the role requires extensive public-facing communication, acting as the primary contact for residents and businesses affected by construction. The successful candidate will also serve as the client representative (Bauherr) for projects managed by external engineering firms, necessitating strong coordination skills with various city offices and utility providers to ensure compliance with cost and deadline controls. This position requires a degree in Civil Engineering, deep knowledge of VOB and HOAI regulations, and offers stable, permanent employment within a public sector environment.

Experience
