Job Summary

This role is for a CFD Simulation Engineer specializing in vehicle cooling systems, focusing specifically on thermal conditioning to enhance performance, particularly within electrified vehicles (BEV). Day-to-day responsibilities involve supporting complex CFD calculations, preparing calculation-ready CFD meshes from CAD data for 1D simulation using tools like GT Suite (GEM3D), and optimizing assemblies based on simulation and test results to improve the lifespan and efficiency of the cooling system. A key function is coordinating closely between the simulation, testing, and design departments to ensure component validation and optimal system integration. Candidates must possess a university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Energy Technology, ideally with a focus on Electromobility or Mechatronics. Essential qualifications include deep theoretical and practical knowledge of thermodynamic processes and relevant experience in 1D-CFD simulation, especially concerning the architecture and function of BEV cooling components.
