Job Summary

This role involves acting as a Safety Inspector for the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for Wood and Metal (BGHM), focusing on prevention within the Western district (HSA, Olpe, Siegen-Wittgenstein). The core responsibility is supervising member companies, advising them and their insured employees on occupational safety and health matters. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site inspections, collaboratively developing solutions for identified deficiencies, ensuring companies independently adhere to safety standards, and investigating the causes of industrial accidents and occupational diseases. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Engineering or Natural Sciences and possess at least two years of recent practical experience in industrial manufacturing or development. The position requires extensive travel (field service) and strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. The role includes a comprehensive two-year internal training program leading to a final examination.
