Job Summary

This role involves leading the project engineering team for major High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) converter or FACTS SynCon stations projects, potentially contributing to the Power Plant or Hydrogen business lines. The Project Engineering Manager is crucial for ensuring successful project execution by managing internal and external interfaces, proactively handling engineering-related risks, and guaranteeing compliance with technical contract requirements and documentation standards. Day-to-day activities include aligning within the Project Management Team, coordinating with consortium partners, conducting status meetings on 3D models with international teams, and driving continuous process improvement. Key requirements include a university degree in an HVDC-related engineering field (preferably electrical engineering), extensive industry experience, and proven technical project management skills, particularly within the EPC market. This role requires strong leadership, a focus on digitalization and productivity, and flexibility for limited global travel (up to 25%) to sites and customers, offering the chance to drive excellence in complex energy infrastructure delivery.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in an HVDC-related engineering field, preferably electrical engineering

Experience

  • Long-standing years of industry specific experience in an HVDC-related engineering field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical project management
  • Demonstrated ability in engineering fields of the energy infrastructure business and EPC market within a project team
  • Experience in leading an international, globally dispersed project engineering team
  • Additional experience in site management is welcome
