Job Summary
The Dual University of Saxony (DHSN) is seeking a Laboratory Engineer to support the Department of Engineering Sciences, primarily focusing on Mechanical Engineering and Energy and Building Technology programs. This full-time, permanent role involves preparing, conducting, and following up on laboratory practicals, PC exercises, and cooperative projects, particularly in areas like fluid flow generators, renewable energy utilization, HVAC, materials technology, and manufacturing metrology. Key responsibilities also include coordinating equipment maintenance, calibration, and repairs, ensuring safety protocols (e.g., creating risk assessments), and assisting with building management systems. The ideal candidate holds a relevant engineering degree (Bachelor level minimum) and possesses professional experience in testing technology, plant operations, and measurement/control technology. This position offers a secure, permanent contract within the public service sector (TV-L E11), providing 30 days of annual leave and comprehensive benefits, making it an attractive opportunity to contribute to applied academic education and research in Riesa.
Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed relevant degree in Engineering Sciences (minimum Bachelor level or equivalent Dipl.-Ing. (BA/FH)) with a focus on Energy Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
Experience
- Professional experience in engineering, preferably in materials technology, testing and experimental technology, plant operations, and measurement, control, and regulation technology
- Experience in teaching and interest in innovative teaching concepts (Advantageous)
- Experience in monitoring digital building control technology and knowledge of facility management (Advantageous)
