Job Summary

This leadership role involves the technical and disciplinary management of two working groups (G3.4: Locking Technology and G3.5: Doors/Gates/Fire Barriers) within the Central University Administration of FAU. The successful candidate will coordinate up to nine employees, ensuring efficient operational processes, scheduling, and proper division of work. Key responsibilities include the technical supervision, maintenance, and fault management of the university's locking systems, access control systems, and fire safety doors and gates, ensuring compliance with all relevant technical regulations (e.g., VDE standards) and legal requirements (e.g., DGUV). The position requires a technical background in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering, initial professional experience, and excellent organizational and communication skills. This is a fixed-term position with the potential for subsequent permanent employment.

Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering, or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience (required alongside technical qualification)
  • Experience with access control systems (desirable)
  • Experience in the technical guidance or coordination of employees (advantageous)
