This Predoctoral Scientist role involves cutting-edge neuroscience research focused on understanding and optimizing brain stimulation protocols for clinical improvement, particularly concerning the right Inferior Frontal Gyrus (rIFG) and conditions like ADHD. The successful candidate will utilize advanced imaging techniques, including DTI and structural/functional MRI data from human subjects (children and adolescents) and non-human primates, to characterize brain connectivity and organization. A key responsibility is using Focused Ultrasound Stimulation (FUS) to map associated networks and establish targeted Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) protocols. This collaborative, BMFTR-funded project provides a unique opportunity to qualify for a PhD while working within a highly specialized, international research team at a university renowned for neuroscience, utilizing facilities like 7T MRI and state-of-the-art non-human primate research infrastructure.
