PhD Position - Co-Regulation Structures for Large-Scale Single-Cell Transcriptomics | Doktorand (m/w/d)
Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH
Job Summary
This PhD position at Forschungszentrum Jülich, within the Helmholtz School for Data Science in Life, Earth and Energy (HDS-LEE), focuses on developing cutting-edge methods for constructing robust co-regulation networks from large single-cell and spatial transcriptomics datasets. The successful candidate will design and implement clustering and integration approaches, utilize ontologies and metadata to build context-specific networks, and apply these networks for gene function and protein-protein functional relationship prediction. This role involves close collaboration with experimental partners for result validation and requires contributing to open-source software tools. It is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong data science, computational, or life/material science backgrounds to tackle grand societal challenges in a highly international and interdisciplinary research environment, preparing them to become the next generation of data scientists.
