Job Summary

This role involves planning and executing tailored in-vitro experiments to investigate mechanisms of action for molecular targets in disease biology. The Bench Scientist will independently perform critical lab techniques including cell culture, molecular biology (ELISA, qPCR, Western blot), and histology (IF/IHC, RNAscope-ISH). A key part of the job is contributing to the development and validation of physiologically relevant in-vitro models and profiling compounds for pipeline projects. Collaboration is essential, working closely with colleagues across Discovery Biology and other functions to test drug candidates and scientific hypotheses. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in molecular or cell biology, demonstrated expertise in cell culture methods, and proficiency in core molecular techniques. The position requires a proactive learner who stays current with scientific literature and ensures timely documentation and presentation of findings, adhering strictly to quality and ethical standards.

Experience

  • Minimum 6–9 months of experience working in a cell culture lab
  • Demonstrated expertise in cell culture methods, including iPSC-derived cellular systems
  • Experience with techniques related to Multi Electrode Arrays, library preparation for transcriptomics, or CRISPR/Cas9 (preferred)
