Job Summary

This role involves coordinating the Nucleate Cluster of Excellence, a major joint research initiative focused on nucleic acid research and technology across three leading German universities (JMU, LMU, TUM). The Coordinator will be instrumental in the cluster's scientific and structural development, serving as the essential interface between researchers, university administrations, funding agencies, and external partners. Day-to-day tasks include strategic concept development, coordinating financial operations and budget management, organizing scientific events (symposia, workshops), and managing internal and external communication structures, including the web presence. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Life Sciences or a related field and possesses experience in managing complex, interdisciplinary research projects. This position offers a highly responsible and dynamic environment at the intersection of cutting-edge research, administration, and strategy.

Required Skills

Education

University Degree and PhD (Promotion) in Life Sciences, Biomedicine, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.

Experience

  • Experience in the coordination or management of research projects
  • Experience in interdisciplinary and collaborative environments
  • Experience in international research or as a Postdoc (advantageous)

Additional
