Job Summary

This role involves managing complex infrastructure projects within the Signaling (LST) and Telecommunications (TK) technology sectors for DB InfraGO AG, a major German railway infrastructure company. The Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities include coordinating internal and external stakeholders, managing contractual performance across all phases, liaising with regulatory authorities (including the Federal Railway Authority, EBA), and conducting comprehensive cost, schedule, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or Civil/Transportation Engineering, coupled with professional experience in project management or infrastructure implementation, preferably in LST/TK. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the modernization of approximately 1,800 railway stations by 2030, combining sustainability with high capacity and performance.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in project management
  • Professional experience in planning and implementation of infrastructure projects
  • Experience, ideally in the area of Signaling and Telecommunications Technology (LST/TK)
  • Foundational knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and legal requirements (e.g., DB regulations, EBA requirements)
