Job Summary
This role involves serving as a Project Manager and Technical Specialist, taking full responsibility for municipal civil engineering projects, specifically focusing on sewerage and drainage systems. Key daily tasks include managing projects from planning and tendering through construction supervision (covering all phases of the HOAI), overseeing the municipal sewer network, and managing the associated budget. The specialist will also conduct internal planning for sewer maintenance and small new construction projects, and review external drainage plans during building permit procedures. Candidates must possess a degree in Civil Engineering (specializing in deep foundation/underground construction) or Water Management, coupled with relevant practical experience in water or sewer construction. Strong knowledge of technical standards (HOAI, DIN) and basic legal understanding (procurement, water, environmental law) is required, along with proficiency in German and standard office software.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (FH/University) in Civil Engineering (specialization in Deep Foundation/Underground Construction) or Water Management/Hydraulic Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Professional practical experience in the field of sewer or water construction
- Experience in project leadership of civil engineering projects from planning to supervision
- Experience with relevant technical norms and guidelines (HOAI, DIN standards)
- Basic knowledge of procurement and construction contract law is required
