Job Summary

This role is for a Lead Developer specializing in Java-based backend services, APIs, and system Observability, operating within an agile, cloud-native environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the conception, development, and operation of high-performance, scalable Java backend services, actively shaping architectural and design decisions with a focus on maintainability and resilience. Key responsibilities include ensuring high code quality through comprehensive testing and Observability practices, maintaining and evolving CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions), and optimizing application performance. The position requires deep expertise in Java (Spring Boot/Quarkus), cloud-native architectures, container technologies like Kubernetes, and database modeling. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Technology, or comparable qualification; alternatively, a technical vocational training with several years of relevant experience in backend development.

Experience

Several years of Java expertise in developing modern backend systems
Professional experience in backend development (alternative to formal education)
Experience with Test strategies and CI/CD processes
Experience with Observability concepts and tools
Experience handling Message Brokers (Kafka or Cloud Messaging services)
