Job Summary

The License Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the legal compliance and strategic optimization of software license utilization for HannIT, a strategic IT partner for the Hanover region and local utilities. Day-to-day responsibilities involve monitoring and managing contract durations, license usage, and budget adherence, implementing countermeasures for deviations, and conducting economic analyses to advise specialist departments. A key part of the role is the introduction and operation of a Software Asset Management (SAM) tool, coordinating external audits, and ensuring compliance with regulations like GDPR and the AI Act. This position requires strong analytical skills, negotiation expertise, and experience with license management software. The successful candidate will also be responsible for negotiating and legally structuring strategic IT license tenders and contracts, observing market trends in cloud services, and optimizing internal processes based on KPIs.
