Job Summary

This role involves leading and conceptualizing advanced Real-World Data (RWD) projects within Roche Information Solutions, focusing on generating critical insights from complex patient data, including clinical, omics, imaging, and digital health sources. The Principal Quantitative Scientist is responsible for the independent planning and execution of RWD studies, creating precise study designs, and developing Statistical Analysis Plans. A key focus is methodological development, creating innovative approaches to use RWD to complement clinical trials or serve as the primary evidence mechanism for regulatory submissions. The position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders (Clinical Development, Medical Affairs) and external partners, ensuring high-quality study results are published internationally, thus enhancing the organization's scientific visibility. Ideal candidates possess a background in statistics, epidemiology, or biostatistics, coupled with extensive experience in RWD study design and statistical programming.

Required Skills

Education

Master’s degree or PhD in natural sciences with a focus on statistics (e.g., Epidemiology, Mathematics, or Biostatistics)

Experience

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in statistical analysis and epidemiology (Master’s degree required)
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in statistical analysis and epidemiology (PhD required)
  • Extensive knowledge of Real World Data study design
  • Professional experience working in a regulated/validated environment
