Job Summary

This role as a Media Technology Engineer within the Computing Center at TU Hamburg is crucial for maintaining the university's IT infrastructure, specifically focusing on media technology supporting teaching and events. Daily activities involve the full lifecycle management of technical systems for lecture halls and event venues, including procurement, expansion, renewal, and ongoing maintenance of seminar and lecture hall equipment and related devices. The position requires providing direct technical support for various university events and lectures. A significant part of the job includes project and construction management, encompassing planning and acceptance of new media installations, as well as personnel and deployment planning for technical event support. Candidates must hold a university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Media Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Communications Engineering, or possess equivalent specialized knowledge. Professional experience in project management related to the programming and creation of media systems, alongside expertise in audio, video, and lighting technology, is highly advantageous.
