Job Summary

This role involves the comprehensive financial and administrative management of international research projects at the Hamburg University of Technology (TU Hamburg). Working within the Finance Department's Third-Party Funding Management unit, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of projects funded by international donors and the EU. Your daily tasks will include setting up projects, calculating personnel costs, releasing funds, monitoring budgets, and preparing interim and final financial reports. You will serve as a key advisor to researchers on administrative matters and prepare for external audits. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy working with numbers and navigating complex regulatory frameworks. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in administration, business, or economics; or a completed vocational training in an administrative/commercial field with equivalent specialist knowledge.

Experience

  • Professional experience in administrative or commercial office roles at a level equivalent to a Bachelor's degree (e.g., German public service grade E9b or higher)
  • Alternatively, at least 4 years of professional experience in the specific fields related to this position
  • Experience in the financial administration of international or EU-funded projects is highly beneficial
