This role involves working as a Specialist System Engineer within a SCRUM development team, focusing on the COLIBRI IT system—a critical application for calculating and disbursing unemployment benefits and training costs for the Federal Employment Agency (BA). Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, optimizing, and operating software solutions and infrastructure, ensuring they meet user requirements. Key tasks involve planning and maintaining IT systems, analyzing system requirements, developing and monitoring software, troubleshooting system problems, and ensuring system availability and security. Candidates must possess a university degree or equivalent qualification, several years of relevant professional experience, and deep knowledge of Java development, Java-EE, REST services, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, Git, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes. The position offers an attractive, flexible work environment, including the option to work up to 80% remotely, and contributes to one of Germany's largest IT landscapes.
