Job Summary

This role involves essential laboratory work for the Munich City Drainage Authority, focusing on ensuring high-quality wastewater treatment and environmental protection. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for core analytical tasks including sample preparation, creating calibration solutions, and performing analyses using techniques such as UV-VIS photometry, gravimetric determinations, and gas chromatography. Key responsibilities also extend to maintaining lab equipment, coordinating external maintenance services, and managing the procurement of necessary consumables and spare parts. This position requires a background in chemical analysis, strong teamwork skills, and a high degree of accuracy and goal orientation. The role offers flexible working hours (full-time or part-time) and is permanent, contributing directly to the environmental quality of the Isar river and the Munich region.

Required Skills

Education

Completed professional training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or Chemical-Technical Assistant, or a comparable qualification in a relevant field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in chemical analysis techniques (UV-VIS Photometry, Gravimetric Determinations, Gas Chromatography)
  • Knowledge of analytical quality assurance requirements according to DIN EN ISO 17025 (Advantageous)
  • Technical knowledge and manual dexterity (Advantageous)
