Job Summary

This permanent, part-time (50%) position as a Chemical Technical Assistant or Laboratory Technician is based at the internationally renowned Hüll Hop Research Center, starting March 1, 2026. The role focuses heavily on the analytical determination of various hop quality characteristics, including alpha-acid measurement using advanced methods like conductometric titration, HPLC, and Near-Infrared Reflection Spectroscopy (NIR). Day-to-day tasks involve operating modern analytical devices, managing laboratory data efficiently using Microsoft Access and Excel, and contributing to the development and testing of new analytical methods for hops and other agricultural crops. Candidates must possess a relevant qualification (CTA, Laboratory Technician, or equivalent), strong technical aptitude for handling analytical software, and solid IT skills in the MS Office suite. The successful candidate will join a collegial team environment with flexible working hours and excellent facilities. Good English language skills are beneficial for understanding analytical methodologies.
