Job Summary

The City of Hameln is seeking a dedicated Electrical Technician to manage and optimize its traffic light and street lighting infrastructure within the Transportation Planning and Roadway department. This role is central to ensuring smooth traffic flow and safety across the city. Day-to-day responsibilities include the technical supervision of traffic light equipment, including the traffic computer, maintaining relevant cadastres, and managing procurement, construction supervision, and billing for renewal and expansion projects, such as LED conversions. The ideal candidate will develop technical concepts for system optimization, handle damage assessments, and provide expert consultation to internal departments and external planning offices. Key qualifications include a degree as a certified Electrical Technician or Master Electrician, strong knowledge of relevant electrical standards (VDE, RiLSA), and proficiency in specialized software like AutoCAD and MS Office.
