Job Summary

The City of Hameln is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join the 'Traffic Planning and Road Systems' department, focusing on the maintenance, safety, and renewal of the city's road infrastructure. This role involves comprehensive project management, including planning, tendering, construction supervision, acceptance, and billing for road preservation, maintenance (asphalt, paving, crack repair), and economic path upkeep. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with internal departments and external contractors, managing accident/damage claims (oil spills, traffic accidents), approving property access points, and handling citizen complaints and infrastructure management tasks like street cleaning coordination. The ideal candidate holds a technical engineering degree (e.g., Civil Engineering, Traffic Planning) and possesses strong knowledge of relevant road construction regulations (RStO, RASt, ERA) and procurement laws (HOAI, VOB, VOL, UVgO).
