Job Summary

This is a key leadership role managing the technical workshops for Klinikum Dortmund, a major university hospital in Germany. The Workshop Manager will be responsible for the technical and organizational leadership of the department, ensuring all electrical and building technical systems are safe, functional, and operational at all times. Day-to-day tasks involve planning and coordinating maintenance, repairs, and investment projects, managing external service providers, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and hygiene standards. A core part of the role includes managing the Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system, updating asset data, and developing robust maintenance strategies. The ideal candidate possesses a technical background (e.g., Facility Management or Electrical Engineering), further qualification as a Master Craftsman or Technician, and proven leadership experience, preferably within a healthcare environment.
