Job Summary

This role seeks a Senior Network Administrator to actively shape and enhance critical E-Government applications and central IT infrastructures for the Free State of Bavaria. Day-to-day responsibilities include the full lifecycle management of the network infrastructure for Datacenters and Campus LANs, encompassing planning, design, implementation, operation, and ongoing development. A key focus is on advancing operational efficiency through automation, requiring the creation and refinement of technical concepts and scripts using Python and Bash. The administrator will also be responsible for analyzing and resolving system failures and security incidents, alongside participating in projects and IT-Grundschutz certifications. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, possess several years of relevant experience, and demonstrate excellent proficiency in network technologies, monitoring (preferably Cisco), and automation tools.
