Job Summary

This Lead Data Engineer role involves the technical and architectural leadership of an interdisciplinary team comprising Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Data Scientists. The core responsibility is operating and advancing the company's data platform, architecture, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business requirements and IT strategy. Day-to-day tasks include designing, implementing, and managing reports, data analyses, Data Science, and AI solutions, while also defining and developing data models, storage systems, and ETL pipelines. A key focus is establishing a Data Governance framework and ensuring comprehensive GxP-compliant documentation. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Computer Science or a related field, possesses advanced programming skills (SQL, Python, or PowerShell), and has extensive experience in managing BI/Big Data environments, preferably utilizing Azure technologies. This is a crucial role within a leading biopharma CDMO, contributing directly to the availability of life-saving biopharmaceuticals.
