Job Summary

This full-time, unlimited contract position, initially structured as an 18-month temporary assignment in Wuppertal, requires a dedicated IT professional to serve as the local contact for a proprietary Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The core responsibility is acting as the critical interface between local end-users and remote development teams. Daily tasks include providing comprehensive First-Level Support, managing user tickets, and accurately documenting user requirements for system changes and programming preparation. Furthermore, the specialist will be responsible for executing necessary updates, corrections, and additions within the system databases. The ideal candidate must possess a completed IT education, proven experience in SQL programming, and foundational knowledge of core IT infrastructure like Active Directory and domain structures. Exceptional communication skills in both German and English (C1/C2 level) are mandatory for translating technical needs and ensuring seamless application operation.
