Job Summary

The HR Business Partner will act as a central liaison for an assigned department within a leading technical university environment (ETH Zurich). Key responsibilities include proactively managing the entire HR lifecycle for professors, management, staff, and all employees. You will advise supervisors on critical topics such as employment, compensation, leadership, and development, while also serving as a confidential point of contact for employees regarding personal or labor law matters. This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders in a scientific context, contributing to strategic HR projects, and optimizing standards and processes. Success relies on your ability to drive a fair and supportive personnel policy, engage with digital tools and AI for innovation, and communicate effortlessly in both German and English within a multicultural environment.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent higher education qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner in an international environment.
  • Experience contributing to personnel strategic and political projects.
  • Professional experience supporting internal stakeholders within a scientific environment throughout the HR lifecycle.
