Job Summary
This role involves providing expert ecological construction monitoring services, both On- and Offshore, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations during construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site inspections, preparing detailed photo documentation, participating in construction meetings, and creating comprehensive reports and expert opinions. A key component of the job is handling species protection issues, communicating effectively with clients and authorities, assisting in permit acquisition, and monitoring the implementation and function of compensation and replacement measures. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Biology or a comparable field, possesses professional experience in environmental construction monitoring, and demonstrates strong knowledge of Northern German flora, birds, or bats. This position requires flexibility for travel outside of Hamburg, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive, responsible work ethic, offering a secure, long-term perspective within a values-driven engineering and consulting firm.

University or University of Applied Sciences degree in Biology or a comparable field
Experience
- Professional experience in environmental construction monitoring / environmental planning
- Foundational knowledge of species (at least one group: Northern German flora, birds, or bats)
